Core engine
Mihomo is suitable for servers, routers, bypass gateways, and environments where users maintain their own configuration files. Desktop users should generally choose a graphical client above.
The core does not provide a desktop window. After downloading, run it with a configuration file, startup arguments, or a service manager. It is best suited to users familiar with ports, rules, and routing paths.

Windows users who want a graphical interface can start with Clash Plus, or choose Clash Verge Rev, FlClash, or Clash Nyanpasu for configuration compatibility. Import your subscription after downloading.
Check the chip information in About This Mac. Choose the macOS ARM build for Apple silicon and macOS x64 for Intel.
Most recent phones and tablets use ARM64, so arm64-v8a is usually the best choice. For older devices, check the system information and choose armeabi-v7a. If unsure, use the available universal package.
The Mihomo core is mainly intended for servers, routers, and users who manage their own configuration. Most desktop users can simply choose a graphical Clash client.
After installation, open the client and import a usable configuration from the configuration or subscription page. Update the profile, choose Rule, Global, or Direct mode, and check the system proxy toggle and local port settings.
